libgexiv2-dev software package provides GObject-based wrapper around the Exiv2 library - development files, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgexiv2-dev
libgexiv2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgexiv2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgexiv2-dev *
You will get with libgexiv2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
