How to uninstall or remove libgetdata4 software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libgetdata4 package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libgetdata4 

Uninstall libgetdata4 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libgetdata4 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgetdata4 
Use Purging libgetdata4

If you use with purge options to libgetdata4 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libgetdata4 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgetdata4
