How to uninstall or remove libgdal1-1.10.1-grass software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libgdal1-1.10.1-grass package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libgdal1-1.10.1-grass

Uninstall libgdal1-1.10.1-grass including dependent package

If you would like to remove libgdal1-1.10.1-grass and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgdal1-1.10.1-grass

Use Purging libgdal1-1.10.1-grass

If you use with purge options to libgdal1-1.10.1-grass package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libgdal1-1.10.1-grass

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgdal1-1.10.1-grass
