libgdal-perl software package provides Perl bindings to the Geospatial Data Abstraction Library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgdal-perl
libgdal-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgdal-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgdal-perl *
You will get with libgdal-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
