libgcu0 software package provides GNOME chemistry utils (library), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgcu0
libgcu0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgcu0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgcu0 *
You will get with libgcu0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
