libevtlog0 software package provides Syslog event logger library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libevtlog0
libevtlog0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libevtlog0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libevtlog0 *
You will get with libevtlog0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
