libeatmydata1 software package provides Library and utilities to disable fsync and friends - shared library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libeatmydata1
libeatmydata1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libeatmydata1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libeatmydata1 *
You will get with libeatmydata1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
