How to uninstall or remove libdmtx-utils software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libdmtx-utils package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libdmtx-utils 

Uninstall libdmtx-utils including dependent package

If you would like to remove libdmtx-utils and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdmtx-utils 
Use Purging libdmtx-utils

If you use with purge options to libdmtx-utils package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libdmtx-utils 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdmtx-utils
