libdesktop-notify-perl software package provides Perl module which communicates with the Desktop Notifications framework, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdesktop-notify-perl
libdesktop-notify-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdesktop-notify-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdesktop-notify-perl *
You will get with libdesktop-notify-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
