How to uninstall or remove libdeclarative-multimedia software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libdeclarative-multimedia package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libdeclarative-multimedia

Uninstall libdeclarative-multimedia including dependent package

If you would like to remove libdeclarative-multimedia and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libdeclarative-multimedia

Use Purging libdeclarative-multimedia

If you use with purge options to libdeclarative-multimedia package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libdeclarative-multimedia

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libdeclarative-multimedia
