libdb-java-dev software package provides Berkeley Database Libraries for Java [development], you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdb-java-dev
libdb-java-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdb-java-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdb-java-dev *
You will get with libdb-java-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
