libcppdb-dev software package provides SQL Connectivity Library (development files), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcppdb-dev
libcppdb-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcppdb-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcppdb-dev *
You will get with libcppdb-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
