libcommoncpp2-dev software package provides Header files and static libraries for Common C++ 2, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcommoncpp2-dev
libcommoncpp2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcommoncpp2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcommoncpp2-dev *
You will get with libcommoncpp2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
