libc-dbg software package provides virtual package provided by libc6-dbg, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libc-dbg
libc-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libc-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libc-dbg*
You will get with libc-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
