libavutil54 software package provides Libav utility library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libavutil54
libavutil54 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libavutil54 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libavutil54 *
You will get with libavutil54 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
