libasm1 software package provides library with a programmable assembler interface, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libasm1
libasm1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libasm1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libasm1 *
You will get with libasm1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
