libarchive13 software package provides Multi-format archive and compression library (shared library), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libarchive13
libarchive13 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libarchive13 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libarchive13 *
You will get with libarchive13 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
