libarchive-peek-perl software package provides Perl module for peeking into archives without extracting them, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libarchive-peek-perl
libarchive-peek-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libarchive-peek-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libarchive-peek-perl *
You will get with libarchive-peek-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
