kio-mtp software package provides access to MTP devices for applications using the KDE Platform, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kio-mtp
kio-mtp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kio-mtp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kio-mtp *
You will get with kio-mtp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
