kid3-core software package provides Audio tag editor core libraries and data, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kid3-core
kid3-core is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kid3-core package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kid3-core *
You will get with kid3-core package name, version, architecture and description in a table
