How to Install irssi software package in Debian 8 (Jessie)

irssi software package provides terminal based IRC client, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install irssi

irssi is installed in your system.

Make ensure the irssi package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep irssi *

You will get with irssi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
