iptraf-ng software package provides Next Generation Interactive Colorful IP LAN Monitor, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install iptraf-ng
iptraf-ng is installed in your system.
Make ensure the iptraf-ng package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep iptraf-ng *
You will get with iptraf-ng package name, version, architecture and description in a table
