iptables-persistent software package provides boot-time loader for netfilter rules, iptables plugin, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install iptables-persistent
iptables-persistent is installed in your system.
Make ensure the iptables-persistent package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep iptables-persistent *
You will get with iptables-persistent package name, version, architecture and description in a table
