How to uninstall or remove imms-common software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed imms-common package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove imms-common 

Uninstall imms-common including dependent package

If you would like to remove imms-common and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove imms-common 
Use Purging imms-common

If you use with purge options to imms-common package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge imms-common 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove imms-common
