How to uninstall or remove icedove-imap-acl software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed icedove-imap-acl package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove icedove-imap-acl

Uninstall icedove-imap-acl including dependent package

If you would like to remove icedove-imap-acl and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove icedove-imap-acl

Use Purging icedove-imap-acl

If you use with purge options to icedove-imap-acl package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge icedove-imap-acl

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove icedove-imap-acl
