hyphen-mr software package provides Marathi hyphenation patterns for OpenOffice.org/LibreOffice, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hyphen-mr
hyphen-mr is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hyphen-mr package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hyphen-mr *
You will get with hyphen-mr package name, version, architecture and description in a table
