How to uninstall or remove hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po

Uninstall hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po including dependent package

If you would like to remove hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po

Use Purging hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po

If you use with purge options to hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove hypervisor-modules-3.16.0-4-po
