hplip-ppds software package provides virtual package provided by hpijs-ppds, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hplip-ppds
hplip-ppds is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hplip-ppds package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hplip-ppds*
You will get with hplip-ppds package name, version, architecture and description in a table
