heretic-engine software package provides virtual package provided by chocolate-doom, doomsday, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install heretic-engine
heretic-engine is installed in your system.
Make ensure the heretic-engine package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep heretic-engine*
You will get with heretic-engine package name, version, architecture and description in a table
