gzip-win32 software package provides GNU compression utility (win32 build), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gzip-win32
gzip-win32 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gzip-win32 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gzip-win32 *
You will get with gzip-win32 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
