gnome-font-viewer software package provides font viewer for GNOME, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-font-viewer
gnome-font-viewer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-font-viewer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-font-viewer *
You will get with gnome-font-viewer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
