gmt-gshhs-data software package provides virtual package provided by gmt-gshhs-low, gmt-gshhs-high, gmt-gshhs-full, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gmt-gshhs-data
gmt-gshhs-data is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gmt-gshhs-data package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gmt-gshhs-data*
You will get with gmt-gshhs-data package name, version, architecture and description in a table
