How to uninstall or remove git-repair software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed git-repair package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove git-repair 

Uninstall git-repair including dependent package

If you would like to remove git-repair and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove git-repair 
Use Purging git-repair

If you use with purge options to git-repair package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge git-repair 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove git-repair
