git-mediawiki software package provides fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (MediaWiki interoperability), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install git-mediawiki
git-mediawiki is installed in your system.
Make ensure the git-mediawiki package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep git-mediawiki *
You will get with git-mediawiki package name, version, architecture and description in a table
