geographiclib-tools software package provides C++ library to solve some geodesic problems -- tools, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install geographiclib-tools
geographiclib-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the geographiclib-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep geographiclib-tools *
You will get with geographiclib-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
