gem-plugin-image software package provides virtual package provided by gem-plugin-magick, gem-plugin-jpeg, gem-plugin-tiff, gem-plugin-sgi, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gem-plugin-image
gem-plugin-image is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gem-plugin-image package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gem-plugin-image*
You will get with gem-plugin-image package name, version, architecture and description in a table
