How to Install gdb software package in Debian 8 (Jessie)

gdb software package provides GNU Debugger, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gdb

gdb is installed in your system.

Make ensure the gdb package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gdb *

You will get with gdb package name, version, architecture and description in a table
