How to uninstall or remove gap-pkg-polycyclic software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed gap-pkg-polycyclic package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove gap-pkg-polycyclic

Uninstall gap-pkg-polycyclic including dependent package

If you would like to remove gap-pkg-polycyclic and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gap-pkg-polycyclic
Use Purging gap-pkg-polycyclic

If you use with purge options to gap-pkg-polycyclic package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge gap-pkg-polycyclic

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gap-pkg-polycyclic
