fortune-cookie-db software package provides virtual package provided by fortunes-br, fortunes-ga, fortunes-mario, fortunes-bofh-excuses, fortunes-it, fortunes-ru, fortunes-eo-ascii, fortunes-pl, fortunes-min, fortunes-bg, fortunes-off, fortunes-cs, fortunes-de, fortunes, fortunes-eo-iso3, fortunes-fr, fortunes-debian-hints, fortunes-es, fortunes-eo, fortunes-es-off, fortunes-it-off, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fortune-cookie-db
fortune-cookie-db is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fortune-cookie-db package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fortune-cookie-db*
You will get with fortune-cookie-db package name, version, architecture and description in a table
