expect-dev software package provides virtual package provided by expect, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install expect-dev
expect-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the expect-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep expect-dev*
You will get with expect-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
