edfbrowser software package provides viewer for biosignal storage files such as bdf and edf, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install edfbrowser
edfbrowser is installed in your system.
Make ensure the edfbrowser package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep edfbrowser *
You will get with edfbrowser package name, version, architecture and description in a table
