ecl software package provides Embeddable Common-Lisp: has an interpreter and can compile to C, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ecl
ecl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ecl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ecl *
You will get with ecl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
