cups software package provides Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - PPD/driver support, web interface, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cups
cups is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cups package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cups *
You will get with cups package name, version, architecture and description in a table
