How to uninstall or remove crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd

Uninstall crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd including dependent package

If you would like to remove crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd

Use Purging crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd

If you use with purge options to crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove crypto-dm-modules-3.16.0-4-amd
