How to uninstall or remove core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di software package from Debian 8 (Jessie)

You can uninstall or removes an installed core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di package itself from Debian 8 (Jessie) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di

Uninstall core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di including dependent package

If you would like to remove core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di

Use Purging core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di

If you use with purge options to core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove core-modules-3.16.0-4-586-di
