aview software package provides A high quality ASCII art image viewer and video player, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install aview
aview is installed in your system.
Make ensure the aview package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep aview *
You will get with aview package name, version, architecture and description in a table
