avahi-autoipd software package provides Avahi IPv4LL network address configuration daemon, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install avahi-autoipd
avahi-autoipd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the avahi-autoipd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep avahi-autoipd *
You will get with avahi-autoipd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
