adblock-plus software package provides virtual package provided by xul-ext-adblock-plus, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install adblock-plus
adblock-plus is installed in your system.
Make ensure the adblock-plus package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep adblock-plus*
You will get with adblock-plus package name, version, architecture and description in a table
