aboot-base software package provides base files required for bootable media on Linux/Alpha, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install aboot-base
aboot-base is installed in your system.
Make ensure the aboot-base package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep aboot-base *
You will get with aboot-base package name, version, architecture and description in a table
