libecpg-dev software package provides development files for ECPG (Embedded PostgreSQL for C), you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libecpg-dev
libecpg-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libecpg-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libecpg-dev *
You will get with libecpg-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
